“Members of the Balfour Beatty Hub project are taking on a charity walk on the 3rd of May 2025, tackling 60 miles in just 24 hours around the Isle of Wight.
We are raising money for an amazing nursery that helps support the educational needs of some very special children. One member of our team taking on the challenge has a little boy called Devan who is diagnosed ASD and also fights a rare medical condition called mastocytosis. Bushy Leaze gives him and so many other wonderful children the chance to gain an education that fits them.
Bushy’s offer a range of services and facilities for families and children, from the early stages of pregnancy to when the child starts school including:
• Maintained Nursery School ages 2 – 4
• Family Support Services
• Specialist support and provision for children with Special Educational Needs
• Outreach services to pre-schools and familiesThey passionately believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and that every family matters. Their aim is for every family to be resilient, happy, confident and resourceful and work in partnership to achieve this.”
Tom Budd, along with some of his colleagues from the Balfour Beatty Hub, are kindly doing a sponsored walk around the coastline of the Isle of Wight in aid of Bushy Leaze. If you wish to find out more and donate, please go to the link below.
We are sure you, like us, wish them all the best in their endeavours and hope the walking conditions are good on the day!
